A buggy gives you the off-road feeling with the comfort of a small car: low seat, safety belt, steering wheel and a steel frame around you. On the Alanya buggy safari you drive it yourself, following a guide through pine forest and over gravel tracks in the hills behind the coast. Nobody needs experience, because the day starts with a proper briefing and a practice lap.

Behind the wheel: what to expect

After pickup you arrive at the buggy base, where an instructor shows you the pedals, the steering and the convoy rules. Helmets go on, you drive one test lap, and then the whole group sets off behind the guide. The ride itself takes roughly an hour and a half to two hours, with a lookout stop for photos and a short rest on the way. Altogether the trip takes about four hours including the transfers, so it fits easily into a half day.

One buggy or two seats

You can book a single buggy and drive alone, or a double buggy that two people share – handy for couples, friends or a parent with a child riding alongside. The price is per buggy rather than per head, so the double is the better deal for two. Drivers must be at least 18; younger riders are welcome as co-drivers next to an adult in a double buggy. Morning and afternoon departures are available.

Pickup and what to wear

We collect guests from hotels in Alanya, Mahmutlar, Kestel, Oba, Konakli, Turkler, Avsallar and Okurcalar and confirm your time after booking. Expect dust: wear old clothes, closed shoes and sunglasses, and bring a scarf for your face. If you would rather sit on a bike than behind a wheel, look at the quad safari. For a full day with rafting and a zipline as well, there is the adventure combo.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a driving licence?

No licence is checked. The only rule is age: drivers must be 18 or older. Everyone gets a briefing and drives a practice lap before the ride.

Can my child ride along?

Yes, in a double buggy a child can sit next to the adult driver. Please mention the age when you book.

Is it cheaper to share a buggy?

Yes. A double buggy costs less than two single buggies, so two people who share one save money and can swap the wheel halfway.

Buggy or quad – which is easier?

A buggy has a steering wheel, a seat belt and a roll cage, so most first-timers find it the more relaxed choice. A quad feels like a motorbike and is a bit sportier.
