When the beach loungers are folded away, the Alanya night safari is just getting started. Late in the afternoon the 4×4 vehicles leave the coast and wind up into the Taurus Mountains to catch the last hour of daylight. It is a slower, softer kind of safari than the daytime off-road tours: more views, food and music, and just enough bumpy road to keep it an adventure.
From golden hour to campfire
The first highlight is the sunset viewpoint, where the sea turns copper and Alanya and its fortress hill switch on their lights far below. Then the convoy drives on to a village high in the hills for dinner, built around local specialities and served in a relaxed, hospitable atmosphere. A dance show comes next, and anyone who wants to can step in. After the meal the night drive begins on unpaved forest tracks – with luck, foxes, boars or owls cross your path, though we can never promise wildlife. The evening ends around a campfire beneath the stars.
Good for couples and families
The night safari suits couples looking for something different from a beach restaurant, and families whose children like fires, music and late nights. Kids from 3 to 11 get the child fare and toddlers under 3 ride free. Mountain evenings are cooler than the coast, so pack a light jacket. Mention any food allergies in your booking. If you prefer to see the mountains in daylight, take the jeep safari or the Sapadere Canyon jeep safari instead.
Timings and pickup
The pickup route runs from Okurcalar and Avsallar through Turkler, Konakli, Oba and Kestel to Mahmutlar and Alanya itself, starting around 16:30; we are back around 23:30. The exact time is confirmed after booking, and you pay in cash on the day.
