Most safaris near Alanya send you towards the Dim River. This one turns the other way: east along the coast, then up into the Taurus to Sapadere, where a slot of limestone hides one of the prettiest walks in the region. You ride in open Land Rovers, so expect dust, wind and the odd bucket of water thrown from a neighbouring jeep.
Banana farms and a village in the hills
The route leaves the highway among greenhouses and banana plantations that climb the slopes above the sea. A viewing stop gives you the coast from above. After that comes a visit option to the Dwarves Cave, a small limestone cavern (€3 at the entrance), and a break in Sapadere village, where the road narrows and the air cools. Water games between the vehicles start about here.
Inside the canyon
Lunch comes first, with chicken, salad, pasta or rice and a grilled-fish alternative. Then you walk the wooden boardwalk, roughly 360 metres, between sheer walls hung with ferns and plane trees, beside little cascades. At the far end is a natural pool fed by a spring; it stays near 12°C all summer, so most people go in for a minute and come out grinning. The canyon ticket is already paid.
Prefer a lazy swim in a river? Go for the Alanya jeep safari. Need a bigger day with lake and boat? The Green Canyon jeep safari covers that.

Frequently asked questions
How cold is the canyon water?
Around 12°C all year, since it comes from a spring. A short dip is plenty for most people.
Is the walk hard?
No. It is a 360 m wooden walkway with a handful of steps. Boards get wet, so choose shoes that grip. Anyone with serious mobility problems should not book.
What do I pay extra for?
You settle drinks, the Dwarves Cave (€3) and the optional open-top jeep (+€5 each) on the day.
Can kids come along?
Yes – jeeps and splashing are usually a hit. Ages 3–11 get the child fare; hold small hands on the wet boards.
